HTC P4350

HTC P4350

The device is noteably thin and comes with the standard kit you'd expect - although there's no 3G, which is a shame. It comes with Windows Mobile 5.0 (or 5.3, whatever you wanna call it - there's AKU 3 on board), quad band GPRS / EDGE, WiFi, 128Mb ROM and 64Mb RAM running on a TI OMAP 850 CPU at 200Mhz. There's also a microSD card slot which actually isn't tucked away under the battery, Bluetooth 2.0 and a 2 megapixel camera, albeit without a macro lens or flash.

Picking up the device, it feels familiar to a generation of Windows PDA users, but even someone coming to this smartphone as a virgin will be put at ease. The home screen echoes the Microsoft Outlook Today screen and tapping the Windows icon either on the screen or the buttons at the base of the unit bring up a Start Menu listing recently opened applications, favourite applications, and icons for help, more programs and settings. It's all very straightforward to use, with a shallow learning curve.

Sony Ericsson w380
The W380 Walkman phone combines a unique clamshell design with all the music cred users expect from Sony Ericsson’s Walkman phones. The phone packs in never-seen before features, including Gesture control which allows users to mute calls with a wave of their hands.
Sony Ericsson's W380 is the company's latest in the Walkman music series, and one its few flip phones. Let's get the technical details out of the way first: at its core, the W380 is a tri-band 850/1800/1900 and 900/1800/1900 with EDGE, expandable memory stick micro, and A2DP.

The inner display is a measly 1.9 incher (176x208), which is a disappointment. On the flip side, there's a slick OLED (organic LED) external display and some dedicated playback buttons that come eerily close to resembling some sort of Braille. The external display is more or less invisible unless it's actively displaying something - that's neat.
